About My Art

My work, full of images of people, the natural world, and objects, is inspired by the visual cacophony of modern society. The world feels rushed, moving in all directions; energy is splashed, and nothing stands still.

On the surface, there is disorder, yet the underlying patterns, which are layered and connected, invite us in to look more closely. Anais Nin said, “There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic.”

In my acrylic paintings, the viewer is initially challenged to link the fragments and capture the whole. But as the familiar appears and the patterns settle into a rhythm, a story emerges. It is different for each viewer. Its linearity is determined by what specific elements attract the eye and in what order — its meaning driven by the individual’s imagination.
